Opening a boutique on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles, Michael Kors discusses the difference between NY and LA shoppers, his muses, and attitude towards age.

Michael Kors described the difference between New York and Los Angeles buyers as follows: “My LA clients have a lot of wardrobes for all occasions. They have a wardrobe for Aspen, a wardrobe for Europe, and even a wardrobe for Utah. In New York, people wear only evening dresses and black suits. “He goes to the shelf of his new shop on Rodeo Drive, and shows: “Molly Sims wore this, this and this. Sarah Jessica Parker wore this silver skirt with sequins and cashmere sweater on the Letterman show. Liv Tyler put on this. This one - Sigourney Weaver. This one - Halle Berry, this one - Heidi Klum.

Michael Kors new store on Rodeo Drive. Michael’s corporate style is easily recognizable - white marble floor, leather white coffee couches, fur pillows, huge windows. “Frankly, - the designer says - I’m very superstitious in choosing a site for my store. I would like to see this store on the other side of Rodeo Drive, where Frank and Mia were dancing in “The Daisy”. My shop on Madison Avenue is opposite the “Carlisle” hotel (luxury hotel). I know Los Angeles well enough, and understand the quarter is very important for a boutique. We chose the quarter successfully - the store was opened at the site of former Valentino boutique, close to Gucci and Prada shops. “I opened my first boutique, and this was done on time.”

Despite the fact boutique was officially opened only on 12 August, first customers already visited it on the eve. Jessica Simpson bought white trousers and white tunic, and Cameron Silver, an owner of Decades vintage clothing shop - a suit of men’s collection. The shop offers a new Fall / Winter 2004 collection, rich in cozy cashmere sweaters, fur jackets and collars (alas , light mink knitted purple poncho was already sold), colored cowboy boots and suede shoes. An attempt to find something of famous Kors’ chic a la half-lady-half-hippie caused a designer’s smile: “From time to time, women come to me and ask why I do not do these pants every season. If women ask, I stop doing them at all.”

Well, what is now at the height of fashion, according to Michael Kors? “Looking at 35 – the designer declares confidently. - Every woman in Los Angeles looks at 35. Lindsey Lohan and Scarlett Johansson are very wise, and they look at 35. I dress twenty-something year old women the same as seventy-five year old ones, and they all look like Sharon Stone - out of time.”

Benefits of aromatherapy are known for ages, but it had no name until 1920, when the term of aromatherapy was invented in France.

Aromatherapy uses essential oils, but first they must be extracted from plants through a long process of distillation. What remains as a result is a concentrated essential oil. Essential oil has a strong flavor and is very concentrated, undiluted it can cause skin irritation, so there are many different ways to use this oil.

It can be used when taking bath, adding a certain amount of essential oil. Then mix water with oil, relax and enjoy taking a bath. If you prefer shower, try to put a small amount of essential oil on the rear of shower, away from the water flow.

Using aromatherapy, you can prepare a mixture of essential oils with sesame seeds, almond or jojoba for massage.

“Touch therapy” includes a few drops of essential oils for cautious massage of temples, forehead and scalp.

To freshen the air or even in your car, you can use essential oils in a bottle of veiled glass with distilled water.

Using aromatherapy during pregnancy and childbirth is also a very old process. Aromatherapy is commonly used to relieve stress and promote relaxation.

Most common flavors:

Lavender - helps to cope with anxiety, stress and depression, strengthens labor pains.

Daisy - “Head” of oils, very gentle, softening and calming mind and body. Helps soothing an irritable, capricious, or nervous person.

Neroli - this oil can be one of the most effective oil-antidepressants, it is useful for insomnia, hysteria, agitation and other stress-related conditions.

So they say due to uplift mood, invigorating and refreshing properties.

Salvia - works well to relax muscles, relieve stress and physical tension.

These are just some of many available oils, and other guides will help you finding the oil for revitalization, energy, and create different moods.

Despite the fact that the use of essential oils has been known since biblical times, the era of rebirth and return to nature and natural products has brought the creation of special blends of oils for different purposes, some of which are very high quality.

They developed a product line that meets special needs of pregnant women, oils for delivery, as well as maternal and newborn.

Pregnant and nursing mothers should pay special attention when buying generic mass-produced products:

* some of generic oils are not suitable for pregnant women and can cause injury;
* There are many levels of essential oils quality and an inexperienced look cannot distinguish them.

Another point is understing the mixture of oils you may require. For example, a mixture of oils to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy - oils for proper care should be selected each for different needs of different skin types, skin elasticity, cell recovery, elimination of scars and to prevent itching during growth of abdomen.

Properly selected mix will provide a complete treatment, have a pleasant smell (some of mixtures cooked at home can smell quite disgusting), and a reasonable price (when buying essential oils in the store, prices can be very high).

Good aroma products are made from the highest quality essential oils in the world, contain environmentally friendly components from flowers and leaves, grown under natural conditions, and mixed so as to be both effective and have pleasant aroma.

Laboratories developed a complete line of products that address the needs of pregnant and going to give birth women, as well as to care for newborns and infants. Each of these oils is a complex composition of several essential oils that meets a particular need, and a mixture of essential oils ensures the proper natural solution to your problems.

Each dance is a little story about yourself, your feelings, your man. This dance does not exist without emanations of love, heady aroma of which extends around the dancing. Where else you can show your essence, understanding of life, its strength, the story of love, relationships between men and women, their conflict and a passionate attraction to each other so sensual and bright, without words.

So, what happens since the moment when you first came to arabic dance classes? You change clothes, tie a scarf and enter the class of strangers with an open stomach (stomach - is an open and vulnerable place). If you are careful enough to yourself, then you will immediately notice any of your body parts you are not very happy with. A rehearsal starts and you have to move in a way you do not use in normal life. (So far …) And now you have a stick in the hip, your back aches, wave does not walk along belly, and posture is poor, and shoulders and neck are very stiff. And while you need to smile seductively, “snap eyes”, and you suddenly fall from your customary image, and style of behavior.

If you are not too frightened, or if you are lucky and feel the vital energy that will tickle you from the inside on the very first lesson, and you continue training, then there will begin an amazing transformation affecting physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual levels.

At the physical level, flexibility and plasticity will return to you through arabic dance. That ripple, which underlies the dance, will help to remove accumulated stress and fatigue in the body, improve metabolism in tissues, remove stiffness. (It is not necessary to write about favor of belly dance for a female body, since it is well known.) As tension and fatigue in the body are connected with our everyday psychological problems, fears, inner bondage, vaguely expressed feelings, through dancing you will get rid of negative emotional background, and feel some kind of joyous lift and vivacity. You will feel the richness of life. Your stiffness and angularity, sharpness of movements are replaced by a polished plastic. Your body will become more feminine. You will attract admiring glances.

This will strengthen your confidence. In this dance you enjoy yourself: I am sweet and sensual. Warm vibrant energy flows in your body. You live, you breathe, you cause positive emotions of others. You feel their response. There is something that fills me most: your true self is manifested inside, your true energy, the way you are. This is a special gleam in eyes, distinctive flavor, magic of movement, melody. This is fascinating. And the audience opens to it, and many have tears in their eyes …

Your life is filled with festivals, you leave everyday life, you reach your inner balance, you feel satisfied. Your increased level of energy makes your mind free, you come to new ideas, new content. You regain yourself.

This, of course, is an ideal picture. On this way, we face many difficulties, but that’s the whole interest!

Gabrielle Roth, a dancer, wrote about five rhythms that make up the dance in her book “Cards of ecstasy”:

1. Liquid rhythm teaches fluidity and grace.

2. Rhythm of staccato teaches clarity and sophistication.

3. Lyrical rhythm teaches integrity and integration.

4. Rhythm of silence teaches peace and tranquility.

We wish you to know each of them and learn feeling comfortable everywhere!

Throughout our life, certain chemical changes that affect skin function and appearance occur in the body. First wrinkles are always mimic wrinkles. They arise from the fact that muscles of certain face areas are continually stretching elastic fibers of connective tissues. Along with elastic fibers, greater role in skin aging is played by collagen fibers of connective tissue. Both types of fibers form a dense grid, which is recessed in a gelatinous base substance with a relatively small number of cells. Collagen fibers swell and absorb moisture, thanks to this young skin is so elastic. Unfortunately, over the years, the number of collagen fibers decreases, while remaining are unable to retain as much moisture as in younger years. They lose the ability to swelling more and more and harden. This process can be accelerated by external influences (above all - ultraviolet radiation). The third factor in the process of skin aging - a decreasing ability of the upper layer to regenerate. Embryonic layer forms fewer young cells - therefore, less horn cells are laid on skin surface. A barrier that protects from radiation, hazardous substances and loss of moisture, becomes more permeable, live cells in the lower skin layers become more vulnerable.

Sun

Sun has a very harmful effect on skin. Although sun rays contribute to accumulation of vitamins in skin, and we feel comfortable from their heat, prolonged exposure to the sun can damage skin. High energy makes ultraviolet-radiation harmful to skin. It penetrates into skin and destroys biochemical structures. There emerge so-called free radicals, which cause sunburn, and skin regenerative ability decreases. The result are not immediately visible, but emerging for a long time drying and hardening of tissues, premature wrinkles, and, at worst, painful skin lesions. Even ordinary daylight contains A-violet rays from the long-wave spectrum. Both types of UV radiation provoke biochemical processes in connective tissues, when free radicals and certain enzymes are released that attack collagen and elastic fibers and destroy them. Because of this destruction, skin’ elasticity and ability to retain moisture weaken.

Means of sun protection are among the most important products offered by modern cosmetic industry. Their action is based on the fact that chemical filter substances, like tiny antennas, capture ultraviolet radiation and change under its influence. For this chemical transformation they use a part of radiation energy, so that energy does not reach the underlying cells. Lack of chemical filters: they penetrate into skin and enter the body in small quantities through blood. In addition, they can cause allergy.

To avoid both, there were developed light-protecting agents, consisting of floured mineral pigments (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide). They remain on skin surface and block solar radiation, reflecting rays. The rest of sunscreens, like other emulsions, consist of fat and water, and also can be enriched with substances, softening irritation and moisturizing skin, as well as “fishers of radicals” - such as vitamin E. After-sun drugs cool skin and restore its moisturizing layer.

Humidity

Low humidity dehydrates the body. Higher humidity leads to the fact that sweat glands are working tirelessly, and skin becomes fatter. While at high temperature and high humidity skin seems fatter, it nevertheless needs moisturizing preparations to be protected from desiccating sun influence. In addition, you should not refuse frequent and thorough skin cleansing.

Temperature fluctuations

Low ambient temperature combined with low humidity increases skin dehydration, which becomes dry and taut. High temperature at low humidity takes away needed moisture from the top skin layer and practically bakes it.

Wind

Strong wind, especially at extreme temperatures and low humidity can dry skin. It becomes scaly. Wind raises dust, which, settling on face, clogs pores and prevents your skin from normal breathing.

Pollution

Exhaust gases, emissions of factory chimneys and other harmful deposits accumulate on skin and clog pores. Polluted air containing noxious fumes, home poisons and other harmful substances contribute to emergence of free radicals and hidden skin irritations. If you constantly have to be in this air, it can significantly accelerate skin aging. As a remedy, you can resort to the following actions: a good day cream and possibly more movement in fresh air.

Sleep

Sleep is the most simple and natural form of cosmetics. During sleep, skin is restored through formation of new cells. Healthy skin needs good sleep. To restore skin, seven or eight hours of sleep are enough.

Water

Water is essential for the body to general detoxification and other harmful substances. During a day you should drink 6 - 8 glasses of water in order to maintain the rhythm of blood circulation and stimulate cell growth.

Nutrition

The body provides itself with food through vitamins and minerals it needs. Consequently, there is a direct correlation between healthy skin and good nutrition. A balanced diet is, therefore, crucial.

Movement

Regular loads on the body stimulate blood circulation. The outer skin layer receives more blood, what allows it to recover. In addition, movement can relieve stress.

Stress

Stress can negatively affect skin. The most significant aging factor - lasting stress. This happens for two reasons: constant tension causes cramps of facial muscles. Elastic fibers stretch more than necessary, and this tires their elongation. In addition, stress hormone adrenalin constricts blood vessels, and this especially affects fine capillaries of skin surface. In case of prolonged stress, skin loses power and oxygen. Second stress hormone cortisone, an antagonist of epinephrine, stops cell division and formation of collagen fibers. Stress and worries can cause wrinkles and even change facial features. Do not wince, if possible, forehead, and do exercises for relaxing facial muscles.

Smoking

Early smoking particularly contributes to appearance of wrinkles. Studies showed that skin of female smokers ages at least four times faster than skin of non-smokers. Free radicals are to blame for this devastating acceleration of aging. With each inhalation, inhaled into the lungs, a huge amount of corrosive particles is released. They attack fat-containing cell walls and alter hereditary information in cell nuclei, which results in deterioration of quality of newly formed cells.

In addition, nicotine contained in cigarette, constricts face blood vessels: skin surface receives less blood, oxygen and nutrients. Primarily lack of vitamins is to blame, since most of them are to neutralize free radicals. Smokers are lacking in vitamin C, which is essential for formation of skin collagen. If you are unable to wean from smoking, at least take care of abundant vitamins supply. Vitamins A, E and C are especially important, as well as beta-carotene. Smoking makes skin looking older. In addition, smoking causes wrinkles around eyes and mouth.

Alcohol

Alcohol damages skin, because it dehydrates tissues and deprives them of valuable minerals. In addition, alcohol dilates vessels, including capillaries in facial skin, so that one day widened red streaks become noticeable. And finally, regular use of alcohol has a strong burden on liver, which immediately affects skin.

Coffee and Tea

Coffee and tea do not cause appreciable damage to skin, but, nevertheless, their large quantities overload liver. This, as in case with alcohol, affects metabolism, and hence provision of energy, and skin release from slags.

Medicines

Skin structure may be affected by some medicines, which leads to its increased sensitivity. The general body health equally applies to skin health.

Your character and temperament will tell you an answer to this question: some people like standing in the solarium for 7-10 minutes, while others lie down and rest for 10-15 minutes.

There is no difference between tan quality, provided that you compare two professional, properly served solariums.

Now unfortunately, some salons can still offer solariums of old generation. You will be able to distinguish them through shape (like a book) and time of tanning session - 30-40 minutes. Such solariums are mostly intended for domestic use - they cannot provide safe and beautiful tan.

The fact is that modern solariums (almost all belonging to “turbo” category) are equipped with a built-in timer and are not intended for tanning longer than 15-20 minutes.

Tanning of greater duration provides a solid physiotherapy load!

When choosing solarium, you surely pay attention to many criteria: power, tanning time, date of last bulb change.

The most rapid and safe tan is defined by the following parameters:

Spectral composition of lamps

- This is the most important characteristic of lamps. Now it is proved that UVB spectrum rays create dark and stable tan. However, UVB spectrum rays are too intense, and to avoid risk of upper skin layers damage while prolonged exposure, modern lamps are equipped with a combination of UVA and UVB rays.

UVB rays radiation is more efficient while tanning, than UVA rays. In other words, we get an effective tan in a short session time, do not bring harm to skin and compromise it to premature aging.

Presence of reflector

- This is a presence of a special reflective layer in lamps, deposited on the inner tube surface and directed at the client during tanning session.

The number and power

Modern solariums are staffed with 26-36 lamp of 100 W for horizontal solarium and 160 watts for vertical. All modern tanning beds are staffed with face tanning system, which if necessary can be disabled. People with light skin should use the system of soft radiation, such as “pink spaghetti”. This is the most gentle tanning technology, because such system of soft impact heats skin much less, while lamps give the maximum percentage of ultraviolet B - rays, which provide rich tan.

From all parts of the body, hands are exposed to most adverse effects. Because they have a lot of work. They are digging and watering, washing and ironing, sewing, knitting and embroidering. As a result, signs of aging become visible on them earlier than on other body parts. If you do not provide hand care, they can look 5-10 years older than your real age. Therefore, they should be given no less attention than face.

First of all, it is necessary to protect hands from harmful influences from outside. In the cold season you must wear warm gloves. Make a habit of wearing rubber, and preferably vinyl gloves while doing homework, or putting hands to chemical exposures (such as cleaners or detergents). If you also grease hands with rich, nourishing cream, you will get an excellent curative poultice. After work, wash your gloves inside and out and dry. When work is not related to water, use cotton gloves. If you do not wear gloves, then at least brush hands with a protective cream before work and wash it off after work.

Avoid hot water: it degreases skin making it dry and rough. Cold water causes skin peeling and rigidness. Wash hands with warm water. Do not use cheap sorts of soap or soap with a strong odor. Use only mild soap. Baby soap will always fit.

Once or twice a week it is necessary to peel skin to remove dead skin cells. This will allow moisturizing cream to penetrate deeper into skin. For these purposes, you can use peeling face creams, but you can also use one of the following ways:

· After washing, rub skin with a rough towel intensively.
· Mix 1 teaspoon sugar with 2 teaspoons vegetable oil. Rub this mixture into your hands for 1-2 minutes, then rinse with warm water and mild soap.
· Sprinkle a little salt on hand skin and rub it soaking in water.

After peeling, bathing, shower or washing hands skin should be moisturized. To do this, use hand creams or any greasy creams. Creams protect skin better than lotions, as they have a denser structure. It is good to rub petroleum jelly, but as it is very fat, so as not to stain clothes, this procedure should be done at night, then wear cotton gloves, and remain so until the morning. In the morning your skin will be much softer. Applying cream should be combined with a little massage. Cream is applied to the back of hand in the direction from fingertips to the wrist. Massage each finger from all sides, as if pulling tight gloves. Then massage back of your hand. Palms do not need cream. In the evening, massage hands under running warm water with a soft brush (you can use an old toothbrush), and then apply moisturizer.

Hand care creams can be cooked at home:

· Pour a table spoon of any herbs - chamomile, plantain, marigold, succession - or their mixtures with a glass of boiled water and leave for 8-9 hours under the cover. Strain. Then pound 5 g butter with a teaspoon of honey, add a teaspoon of herb and mix all thoroughly;

· Whip 1 / 2 cup sour cream with two egg yolks in a blender, and, still whisking, gradually pour juice of 1 / 2 lemon and 2 tablespoons vodka or 1 tablespoon alcohol or brandy;

· Mix 50 g glycerol, 50 g cream, a few drops of lemon juice.

If your hands turn red, coarse, there appear cracks or fading, then hand masks will help you:

· Massage two tablespoons warm olive oil in hands, pull plastic, and wool gloves on top and leave overnight or for several hours.

· Boil potato, mash it with hot milk and cover hands with a mixture. After 15-20 minutes, rinse with warm water and rub cream into skin.

· Rub a mixture of 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 teaspoon oatmeal into skin, put on cotton gloves and leave overnight or for several hours.

· Mix cottage cheese and sour cream to the consistency of soft paste. Smear on hands, wash off after 10-15 minutes. Besides softening skin, this mixture also bleaches.

Hand baths also help skin well. They are useful at night before bedtime, and then lubricate hands with cream:

· For baths you can use water after cooking potatoes or pasta.

· Keep hands in hot milk for 5 minutes, this will not only moisturize skin, but also strengthen nails.

· For two liters warm water - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Take a bath for 15-20 minutes.

· If hands are sweating, dilute 1 teaspoon salt in 1 liter warm water, keep hands in the solution for 5-10 minutes.

Another way to soften hands - bath of starch. A teaspoon of starch is diluted in a glass of water, the resulting paste is diluted with warm water, a little cream is applied on damp skin.

Starch bath is very useful for elbows, if skin on them is dry and rough.

Ultraviolet rays damage and dry hand skin, so do not forget to apply sunscreen on hands.

Skin on elbows requires special care. To prevent coarse skin, apply baths of warm vegetable oil. Pour it into two bowls and immerse elbows in them for 5 minutes, then scrub with pumice stone and apply moisturizer. During shower, rub elbows with a washcloth, and then lubricate them with cream.

When blisters, apply warm soap-soda baths with addition of ammonia (can not add soda in rain water). Per liter of water add 1 teaspoon baking soda, 2 teaspoons liquid ammonia, 1 teaspoon soap powder. Keep hands in such bath for about 15-20 minutes, then wipe dry and rub with a pumice stone.

Hand care gymnastics will help removing accumulated stress and fatigue, and warn hand deformation:

· Do circular motions in wrists.
· Squeeze fingers into a fist and unclench slowly.
· Hold fingertips of both hands to each other, not connecting palms and springing, clasp and release them, not tearing apart.
· Firmly press fingers and hands to each other and shake hands one against another right-left.
· Tightly clasping hands, turn down your fingers as far as possible in opposite directions.
· Tilt your thumbs to the palms and back.

Well-groomed hands should be complemented with beautiful nails.

Of course, it is very pleasant to luxuriate in a warm bath, but do not take a bath more than 2 times a week. If you take a bath more often, your body will not have time to supply skin with fat, because of which skin may begin to dry and peel.

Before taking a bath you should be prepared. Take a shower, after which you will wash off not only sweat and dirt, but also expand blood vessels and pores, relax muscles, relieve stress.

Prolonged stay in a bath leads to load on heart and other organs of circulatory system, moreover, it is harmful to skin, so take a bath no longer than 15-20 minutes. Water should not be too hot, it’s bad for the body and tiring for you.

After the bath you should thoroughly wash the body under a shower to remove any soap, shampoo, and softened horny scales. And in the end - rinse the body with warm or cool water to close pores again. In order to prevent skin peeling and dryness after a bath, smear skin with cream or milk, after which skin becomes smooth and elastic.

It is very useful to add herbal infusions and decoctions, sea salt, various natural products (honey, milk and so on) in a bath. These baths have strengthening and toning effect on the body, regulate metabolism, cleanse and soften skin, leaving it soft and smooth. In addition, some baths help calming nervous system and improve sleep.

Bath of cottonweed herb infusion
Boil 250 g herb in 2 liters water, brew for 40 minutes, pour in the bath (the temperature is 35C). After taking a bath, dry skin becomes elastic.

Bath of chamomile and common toadflax
This bath will also have a positive effect on dry skin. Take 100 g of each herb, pour with boiling water and boil on low heat for 10 minutes. After cooling, pour strained infusion into the bath.

Coniferous bath
Pour a glass of needle with 2 liters boiling water, leave in a thermos for 2 hours, strain, pour into the bath (temperature 30-35 C). Pleasant aroma bath will relieve fatigue, provide calming effect on nervous system.

Bath “Steppe nectar”. Mix grasses of oregano, thyme, mint, wormwood, plantain, yarrow, leaves of wild mountain ash in equal parts. Pour two glasses of mixture with 2 liters boiling water. Cook on low heat for 3-5 minutes, brew, strain, pour into the tub. This healing fragrant bath recovers, invigorates, refreshes, tones.

Salt bath
Add 250-500 g table or sea salt in a bath. Such bath invigorates and improves health.

Smoothing bath
It is recommended against “goose” or keratinized skin. Pour 500 g potato starch (or a thick broth of oat flakes) and 2 tablespoons pine extract in warm water. After the procedure, rub nourishing cream or cosmetic lotion in moist skin carefully.

Cleopatra bath
Primarily, it affects skin and least on all internal organs. Preheat 1 liter milk, not bringing it to a boil. And in other dish - on a water bath - a cup of honey. Dissolve honey in milk then. Add 2 tablespoons of almond, pink, olive or other vegetable oil. After such bath skin becomes soft and smooth.

Bath from thistle broth
Brew 3 cups shredded thistle, draw, strain, pour into the tub. After such bath your skin will be elastic.

Herbal bath
It is recommended to people with oily acne skin. Put 25 g grains of juniper, lavender, chamomile, St. John’s wort herb, 50 grams lime blossom, thyme, peppermint in a gauze bag and put it into a saucepan, pour with 2 l water and boil on a high heat. Then cook the mixture on medium heat for about 30 minutes. Pour broth into the bath. Such bath can be taken daily, but 1 time per week is also quite enough.

If skin is, conversely, too dry, then a bath with addition of a thick broth of flax seed and chamomile (100 g of each herb) helps gaining elasticity.

Healing bath “Pleasant dreams”
A warm bath with decoction of camomile, lime blossom, mint and valerian root is very useful for health. It should be taken in the evening before bedtime. It rejuvenates skin, calms nervous system, improves sleep. You will feel a special freshness and vitality after awakening.

Tips
To provide skin with various useful substances in a bath with additives better, make body peeling before taking a bath. For example, using just such simple, but very effective recipe: tablespoon of salt per glass of cream. Apply this mixture on skin in a circular motion, rinse with warm water in a minute. Now you can prepare a bath and “dive” into it.

Recall the most seductive woman of the XX century, provoking everyone and evrything, Marilyn Monroe, responding to an indelicate journalist’s question: “What kind of gown you prefer?” with a remarkable phrase: “A drop of Chanel № 5 perfume. And she trendsetter, known to all women of the world, Coco Chanel, also, would say: “I feel naked if I do not have my favorite perfume on.” Or here’s another one of her quotes: “Perfume is an invisible, but unforgettable, unsurpassed fashion accessory. It warns of a woman’s appearance and continues reminding of her when she leaves …”

Fashion for women’s perfume is as changeable, as female character. There are so many flavors in the world, that their combination, it seems, cannot be exhausted until the end. For example, this spring perfumes with floral, spicy and fruity flavors will be very popular, and their manufacturers especially emphasize the fact women with different social status (housewives or business women) should wear different fragrances. And if you just work in the office - this is one thing: then black pepper aroma will fit you, and if you, for example, is a business owner - it is quite different: choose perfume with hints of cinnamon. At least, so practical Americans advise.

By the way, New York, along with Paris, is a trendsetter in the field of perfume. Although true professionals always secretly advise not to pursue fashion in perfume choice, and rely solely on your own feelings, the way this or that scent “sounds” on your skin.

Universal advice when buying perfume: apply the perfume you liked on your wrist and… walk away. In addition, you need some time to have alcohol weathered, it is better if you evaluate the odor in a calm atmosphere, not among the “cacophony” of a variety of flavors, which any specialized boutique is usually filled with. Do not apply more than two or three perfumes at the same time: you will be difficult to navigate - even an experienced perfumer feels sometimes difficult to determine the scent he likes. What to say about simple amateurs, like we are!

If any flavor (even the most famous!) causes even the slightest discomfort in you, part with it without any regrets: you must feel “your” scent, literally with skin. You are not going to wear clothes you do not like just because of a famous record label?

Although, we admit, the choice of perfume should still be oriented on a label. Famous name is a guarantee not only of quality, but also “beauty” of the fragrance. After all, making perfume is a complicated technological process. Creation of a new perfume includes not only laboratories, but also entire institutions. However, technology is still not the main thing, a perfumer’s talent rules here. Indeed, perfume is a usual mixture of several aromatic substances dissolved in alcohol. However, only a mediocre perfume, fraud scents can be called “normal” mixture. “Piece” good is always unusual. A little water is added in alcohol, then the mixture “matures” for a few weeks. And then there goes final stage of production: cooling and filtering.

There is a definite classification of perfumes on “solution concentration”. The strongest scent belongs to perfume, followed by so-called eau de perfume and eau de toilette. In everyday life, we are accustomed to use the least concentrated solutions. A real scent is meant for special occasions (or real women). Because the cost of perfume depends on its “concentration”. Naturally, we do not mention a celebrity brand, perfumer’s good luck or famous name this or that flavor is sold with - all this, of course, also increases the product’s cost.

Good perfume, like humans, always has its own “character”. And that is what helps us to make the right choice. If buying perfume, you tell the seller you prefer fruity flavors, you will put her in a difficult position. What does she have to offer you in this case: perfume with the smell of peach, or maybe an apple, and maybe you mean raspberry? You will make it easier, if you let her know you are, for example, an extrovert - then you are likely to be recommended perfume with citrus notes. We have already noted in the beginning, perfume is an accessory, and in this capacity, it should be advantageous to complement and “frame” your dress and manners. Although the style may be switched eventually, that is why you should not use once selected perfume for whole life.

Do not miss an opportunity to find something new, get to know with a new flavor. Well-chosen perfume can help you changing something in your life, and, perhaps, after meeting a new flavor, you will also decide to change your style.

Cellulite - fat deposits or disease?
Cellulite is not usual obesity. Ministry of Health of France, for example, have formally recognized it as subcutaneous adipose tissue disease. Depending on the processes occurring in tissues, they differentiate fat, juicy and fibrous forms of cellulitis. The latter is the most difficult for treatment.

Who is subjected to cellulite?
Cellulites affects eight out of ten women - regardless of age, body build, weight and physical activity. It can be formed even in fourteen years.

What is cellulite?
In healthy fat cells waste products go through pores of cell membrane and are carried away by blood flow. Violations of this mechanism lead to cellulite: membrane pores are blocked, waste products are not led “outside”, and the cell itself is calcined. These cells are grouped and form solid to the touch islands in connective tissue that block blood supply and lymphatic flow, which leads to further calcification of fat cells. If nerve endings are compressed, there appear painful feelings. In addition, cellulite cells have a tendency to attract water, causing swelling of affected areas.

What causes cellulite?
As shown by studies in recent years, the main cause - hormonal disorders. Jogging moments in cellulite development - pregnancy, adolescence and menopause, the beginning and end of contraceptive pills course. The development of cellulite is also influenced by poor diet, stress, pollution, lack of physical activity. Important role is played by genetic predisposition.

How to diagnose cellulite?
To do this, gently squeeze skin between thumb and index finger: appearance of bumps - a so-called “orange peel” - demonstrates the initial stage of cellulite. It usually attacks thighs, buttocks, popliteal fossae, upper arm area and abdomen.

Do special creams fight against cellulite?
Cellulite creams are a good prophylactic: they are effective, if cells retained normal capacity for work. If cellulite gained in strength and cellular pores are virtually blocked, even creams that contain aminophylline cannot help. Aminophylline is a recently discovered substance that helps releasing fat from fat cells.

What methods are used today to treat cellulite?
Electrical stimulation of muscles and skin improves blood circulation and lymph flow, but if blood and lymph vessels are crushed by cellulite islands, unfortunately, this is of little help. This method is effective only after removal of blocking factors.

Massage and brush massage - the most effective prevention tools: they help improve blood circulation. However, massage can rarely “split” fossilized cells. Regular exercise will improve blood circulation and lymph circulation in the body, and special exercises (shaping, aerobics) will strengthen weak muscles of hips, buttocks and press. And if you start stimulation of skin with a massage brush, it will improve blood and lymph circulation.

“Rolling massage” is very good (there is a special device equipped with needles) - it increases elasticity of muscles and improves flexibility of connective tissue.

Excellent results are obtained due to anti-cellulite massage with creams and following wrapping - it sends toxins into lymph ducts, through which they are derived from the organism. But this procedure is contra-indicated to people with varicose veins, thrombosis and hypertension.

Cellulolipolysis is subcutaneous electrostimulation with special electrodes. This method is combined with manual massage to improve lymphatic outflow and is quite effective, if the patient is not frightened with 20 cm needles.

Liposuction - fat exsufflation with a special syringe - is now widespread throughout the world. The method is effective for removal of fatty deposits only in certain places and not very effective while significant excess weight and a uniform increase in the fat layer on the entire surface of thighs, buttocks and abdomen. In both cases, everything depends on doctor’s skill and experience. Furthermore, we must be prepared for complications that accompany any surgical intervention.

Ultrasound therapy - a new method, based on the same principle that is applied when removing plaque and fragmentation of kidney stones. The length of ultrasonic wave can “split” soda cell and return it to viability. Ideally, the method is combined with a special manual massage to improve lymph drainage.
