It turns out it is. Recommendations given in this article are assumed for people with normal metabolism.
Strictly speaking, you cannot lose weight without taking into account amount and nature of eaten food. Especially if you have unhealthy dietary attitudes, such as overeating, eating high-calorie foods, etc.
Those who want to lose weight should keep in mind that the only real opportunity to lose weight (reduce amount of fat in body) - to burn fat, using it as a source of energy needed for metabolism …
On the one hand, it is well known that the body of any living creature is constantly spending energy for life and work. Value of consumption depends on many factors, but here are most important of them:
• Age (the older a person is, the less energy he consumes);
• Temperament (the more active person is, the more energy he uses);
• Physical work, movement (the larger mobility or physical activity are, the more energy is spent);
• Sex (males spend more energy than non-pregnant women);
• Sexual activity (intensity of sexual activity for several reasons determines intensity of general energy consumption).
On the other hand, it is also well known that body gets energy it needs from food. And one’s body uses only that portion of meal, which covers its energy needs, and no more, because otherwise, it would explode like a superheated steam boiler. Therefore, if you eat more food, than your body needs, its surplus is converted to fat and put in cells of adipose tissue in store.
There are two ways to lose weight:
• increase energy consumption, without changing the value of energy coming with food;
• reduce energy coming with food, unless you change the value of energy consumption.
How can I lose weight by increasing energy consumption?
It is clear that of all the circumstances that affect value of energy consumption you can change only two: amount of physical activity, mobility, and intensity of sexual activity. The latter possibility is particularly relevant to people of childbearing age who can lead an active sex life. Increased physical activity is accessible to all, if there are no relevant medical contraindications.
How to lose weight, reducing the flow of energy from food?
This can be done also in two ways.
• You can simply reduce food intake;
• You can reduce energy value of diet.
Rules of eating
How to eat correctly? We reflect on the matter very rarely.
1. Do not eat immediately after serious physical activity: sports, heavy physical work, hypothermia or overheating of body, and after turbulent emotions. Make at least half and hour break.
2. Every meal should be started with raw vegetables or fruits. Eat them whole or in salads. Vegetables and fruits, eaten on an empty stomach stimulate digestive glands, motility of gastrointestinal tract, contribute to normalization of microflora of intestines. Apples, cabbages of all types (white, colored, broccoli …), carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet peppers are especially useful in this regard.
3. But do not use them along with thermally processed food, and also immediately after it, in this case, they contribute to processes of decay and fermentation in the gut.
4. Carefully chew food. When chewing not only mechanical grinding of food (which facilitates work of all other divisions of digestive tract) takes place, but also partial decomposition of carbohydrates and some proteins through action of enzymes contained in saliva.
5. Eat without hurrying, take breaks between meals - at least 5, preferably 10 minutes. Breakfast and dinner should last for at least half an hour, a dinner - at least 40 minutes.
6. There is no need to drink just before eating, during and immediately after meal. An exception can be made only if ypu eat very dry food. Water and other drinks wash off saliva, dilute gastric juice, which has a negative effect on food digestion.
7. Do not drink very cold (far below room temperature) and very hot (scalding your mouth and lips) food and beverages.
8. Do not start work immediately after meal. But do not also lie and sleep. It is best to walk slowly. Break should last at least 15 minutes for light work and no less than one half in case of hard physical work. A serious sport with a break between the end of meals and the start of training should not be less than an hour.
Proper nutrition is pleasure
All foods must be fresh, contain no harmful substances, and remain in their natural form. Better fewer, but better - this saying can serve as a guide to a balanced and healthy diet.
Pay attention to a few basic rules:
1. While ideal nutrition a person receives carbohydrates mainly from vegetables, fruits and products made of whole grains, with sufficient protein and little fat.
2. Buy fruits, vegetables and whole grains from farms, where they are grown without use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, as means for spraying and fertilizing overload our bodies with unnecessary substances and often result in allergic diseases.
3. Consume food in raw form more often, because each time after procession they lose valuable substances contained in them.
4. Avoid such denatured products, such as white flour, refined sugar and refined rice.
5. Avoid ready products, because they contain large amounts of additives that can cause various types of allergies.
6. Eat little meat and sausage. From time to time your menu should include sea fish, since it contains a lot of iodine (this is particularly important in areas suffering from lack of it). Consuming enough iodine, you will ensure normal functioning of thyroid gland.
7. Eat several times a day in small quantities. This helps to maintain a constant level of sugar in blood and stable work.
8. Pay attention to the fact that during one meal you should consume mostly carbohydrates, while during other - mostly proteins. This will help your body to digest food better.
9. Food that contains carbohydrates gives you good mood, but at the same time, it causes feeling of fatigue. Therefore, pasta or rice should be better consumed in the evening.
10. If you need to focus on work, eat food rich in protein during a day, because it stimulates vitality of thought and provides endurance.
And that is very important: cook food with love. Because those who eat with pleasure and joy, retain their balance to a large extent.
