Eye bags is certainly not the best start of a day. If you wake up with eye bags more and more often, you should begin active fighting against this unattractive cosmetic defect.
What is the reason
But before proceeding directly to counsils, let us explain the reasons. And there are many reasons for this unpleasant phenomenon. What can cause eye bags?
First, bad heredity. Between eyelid skin and subcutaneous tissue there is a thin membrane, which may be dense and thin by nature. Thinning of membrane leads to formation of small holes through which fatty tissue is discharged. As a result, eye bags are formed. If this is a result of heredity, and you have thin membrane, it means you have every chance to deal with eye bags in near future.
Reasons leading to emergence of eye bags also include: lack of sleep, allergy, hormonal changes associated with monthly cycle, excess of water in body, stress, poor diet and frequent consumption of alcoholic beverages.
What to do
Skin care around eyes should be executed every day. To remove make-up it is recommended to use non-scented cleansers. Do not rub your eyes too much. If the first use of cosmetics causes skin redness, watering, you should abandon its use.
Every evening it is necessary to apply moisturizing cream on eyes. In the morning wash face with cool water, apply ice cubes on under-eye area. During summer, it is necessary to use sunscreen. Also, it is necessary to cope with stress, take multivitamins regularly, do exercises for eyes (put hands on temples and try to move skin back with help of mimic muscles. This exercise should be repeated several times during a day).
Healthy sleep, full of rest, moderate water consumption, regular and balanced diet, lack of stress (or ability to cope with it!) are the most wonderful tools in fight against eye bags. If ordinary people’s means of struggle is no longer enough to get rid of eye bags, there are surgical ways: blepharoplasty (removal of excess skin in eyelid area and removal of fat pads under eyes), as well as use of carbon dioxide laser (smooths skin around eyes, making it more elastic).
Indispensable recipes

1. Brew 1 tea spoon black tea in 1 / 4 cup boiling water, leave for 30-40 min., filter. Compress is applied for 10 min. Cotton swabs soaked in tea are put on eyelids for 1-2 mins., change them 3-4 times. After procedure make a compress of cold water and apply nourishing cream on eyelids.
Daily sage, chamomile, or beggar-ticks compresses.
2. Pour 1 table spoon cornflowers with a glass of boiled water, leave for 20 minutes, filter. Put swabs moistened in warm solution on eyes for 15-20 minutes.
3. Boil potato in jacket. When it becomes warm, cut with a knife and attach to eyes for 30-40 min.
4. Do packs of sage broth (cold and warm). Pour a teaspoon of sage leaves with a cup of boiling water. Leave under cover for 10-15 min., filter, half cool, half warm. Put cotton swabs soaked in hot, then cold infusion on eyelids alternately. The procedure should be done before going to bed, then lubricate skin with eye cream.
