It is enough to apply shades on eyelids to give mysteriousness and tenderness to a sight. Application of various technics of make-up drawing allows women looking in a new fashion every day. Fine game of paints will present special sensuality and brightness to eyes.

Eye shadow was used in cosmetics for a long time. At excavation in Egypt the first paint for eyelids from antimony and soot has been found out. Romans used antimony as eye shadow already in the middle of the first century a.d.

Now the choice of various eye shadow is very wide: dry or liquid eye shadow, shades in the form of gel or cream, pencils. Their structure is similar to powder structure. The difference is only in colour - shades are painted by oxides with use of talc as a link.

Proof shades last the whole day long, they humidify gentle skin of eyelids. And soft humidifying components and soft structure allows applying shades easily and in regular intervals, and you do not need to impose two layers - one will be quite enough.

The basic substances as a part of dry shades: talc, kaolin, mica, zinc oxide, mineral oils, wax, astringents, preservatives, lanolin, colour pigments. In structure of fat shades, except painting substance, they add cezerin and paraffin, in liquid - spirit, glycerine, water. Shades in the form of a pencil are made under the same formula, as lipstick, but with big maintenance of hardeners of a heat of fusion.

High-quality shades incorporate not metal, but synthetic pigments which are enveloped by a thin film of fat and do not adjoin directly to skin. High-quality shades should lay down exactly on a skin of eyelids, not cause irritation, not lose initial colour, last long, not accumulate in folds.

If you want shades lay down ideally - use not a standard foamed rubber applicator, but a set of brushes from a natural bristle.

Choose your sort of shades. The most popular and practical - dry, they are stored long and applied easily. Liquid shades demand ideal drawing. Кремообразные will suit those who use contact lenses - they are not showered and do not irritate mucous eyes.

Simple rules:

Shades lay down on a skin better, if you grease it with humidifying cream and powder slightly by a thin layer of transparent friable powder preliminary.

Applying shades on an upper eyelid, keep eyes opened, and slightly incline a head back - so you will see created drawing, and shades will lay down smoother.

If you mix in a make-up of a shade of different colours, shade border between them with a pure brush.

To clean surplus of shades or to muffle colour, “blot” a make-up with a slightly powdered wadded disk.

Eye shadow needs to be applied in a smooth layer, starting with a subtle shade, gradually increasing its intensity.

Correction of lacks by means of shades:

If you have close-set eyes - place colour emphasis on external corners of eyes, and put a few light or white shades on internal.

If you have deep-set eyes - make up an upper eyelid with light shades with nacreous parts, having penciled a thin dark line over the top eyelashes.

If you wish to increase eyes visually - use light shining shades, and forget about matte dark shades and accurate eye contour.

Shades shade only in a direction upwards, differently the sight will look heavy.

If you find it difficult to define, what colour of a shade suits you more, choose matching colour of your eyes. Many women look good with shades of a contrast colour creating an unusual combination to eye colour.

Put shades of lighter shade in the field of internal eye corners and on a mobile eyelid , and in a place, where eyelid “has hung”, apply darker colour. So, for example, dark blue eyes should be better underlined with a warm brown or copper shade, this way eye colour will be more intensive.

To narrow widely put eyes visually, use two kinds of shades - dark and light. Paint internal corners of eyes with dark shades, and starting from the middle of eyelids - light.

What shades to choose?

Dry shades are well imposed (especially on the powdered skin) and easily removed. They are proof enough also are long stored, as they contain no moisture - a nursery for microbes.

Pressed shades are on sale usually in plastic boxes in one or several colours, and, colours can be placed both in separate compartments, and pressed in a uniform tablet.

Fat shades are a bit more difficult in application, and they last not for long, but protect skin from drying and environment influence better.

High quality shades do not roll down. But if such thing occurs, it is because of eyelid bad humidifying. Take as a rule: in the morning and evening apply a special fluid round eyes, let the cream be absorbed. After that it is possible to apply a shade-basis or simply compact powder using applicator. And still: pressed shades always roll down less, than liquid.

Liquid shades are the most proof. But at drawing they quickly dry up, and consequently it is necessary to do it quickly enough, non-uniform drawing differently will turn out. Besides, they often accumulate in eye folds, especially at a paint overabundance. Liquid eye shadow contains a group of vegetative waxes, which provide tremendous firmness to shades. For bright accent on eyes, pencil an accurate line on edge of an eyelid, and, to give mysteriousness to a sight, shade shades slightly.

Colour choice:

Brunettes will choose combinations of gentle-blue shades, colours of a pigeon wing, ivory, young greens.

Red-haired - pistachio shades, lilacky shades.

Swarty skin is shaded well by violet shades, pink, apricot, which should be applied gently, shading carefully.

For business women light-beige tones of make-up are pertinent. In a business make-up bright eye shadow is inadmissible, accurate eyebrows and dense eyelashes are quite enough.

In the evening golden lipstick for eyelids is in perfecr harmony with golden ink for eyelashes. A pencil for eyebrows of a lighter tone, than natural colour of eyebrows, will decorate you even more.

Grey tone will suit all women, especially for an evening make-up.

Classical eye make-up:

It is better to use not sets, but “couple” shades. Two complementary colours in a necessary color spectrum - what can be better? Choose shades only from expensive brands, this way your make-up will be smart! So:

1. Apply light shades on an upper eyelid and a hollow over it, starting from a nose. They should not rise above a fold. Then pencil a thin line along an external eye corner and under bottom eyelashes. It should disappear gradually to the middle of eyelid. Pound this line slightly.  Slightly gleaming shades of corporal colour (like a damp skin) are actual, they freshen a lot. Pink shades suit any woman. One stroke of light pink shades on an internal eye corner eye and another - under a line of eyebrows - will transform sight into radiant.

2. Underline an upper eyelid fold with shades of darker colour, distribute them little higher and little lower, pound with a finger-tip.

3. Cover space directly under an eyebrow with a light cosmetic pencil. Thus it is necessary to follow an eyebrow bend accurately. Pound a pencil carefully with a finger-tip.

4. Pencil a line as much closer to eyelashes firstly along a lower eyelid, then — along top. Pound both lines. To give bigger expressiveness to eyes, it is necessary to pull back a lower eyelid using little finger and lead round its internal edge.

Artificial eyelashes

Before applying them on upper eyelids for the first time, it is necessary to truncate eyelashes, which “will lay down” on the edges of eyelids turned to a nose. Artificial eyelashes fasten to an upper eyelid by means of special glue. Other ways of fastening are unreliable.

Before pasting a full set of eyelashes, firstly they need to be put to eyes and cut, if necessary. Then grasp them  with tweezers in the centre and apply a thin layer of gluing on an internal part.

Separate eyelashes look more naturally. They are applied on natural eyelashes from outside external eye corners. They can be applied only in a certain place and not removed until they do not start showering, as real ones.

“Downy” eyelashes are pasted to natural eyelashes by means of a hulk for eyelashes. Paint a line formed by false eyelashes, and paint eyelashes with mascara carefully.
