19fgnhf_b.gifYou’ve heard so much about positive influence of pineapple as a fat burner. Huge quantity of diets is developed on its basis. Girls spent so much time discussing this phenomenon. Whether everything dieticians promise us is true?

Pineapple is, perhaps, the most known fat fighter. Once it was even called a panacea, and suddenly it became an integral component of various diets. It was considered that pineapple contains a unique enzyme - bromeline, splitting complex lipids. Manufacturers of various “fat burners” took advantage of this discovery at once, and lots of preparations on the basis of a pineapple extract were invented. Few people could resist the statement “one gramme of bromeline splits 900 grammes of fat”. However the result appeared completely not such amazing, and pineapple was named a super fat burner in vain.

The matter is that this enzyme possesses only proteoclastic effect, i.e. splits exclusively fibers. Pineapple has very insignificant effect on lipidic exchange, as bromeline molecule is so great, that it cannot “pass” through intestines wall. Under the influence of intestinal juice enzyme is split on some components which arrive from intestines in blood, losing thus any fermentative activity and cannot affect the whole organism.

This very simple conclusion shows: bromeline has no influence on subcutaneous fat, and cannot return former symmetry.

Inhabitains of Western Europe countries knew about it long ago. They “had been ill” with pineapple-mania more than twenty years ago and now do not assign high hopes to pineapple, it appeared that only pineapples which have grown on Sri Lanka can burn fats.

However, pineapple fermentative activity remains long enough, and influences digested food very well. Especially well bromeline helps coping with fish, meat, sour-milk products and bean cultures.

Besides, pineapple possesses a property to extinguish feeling of hunger. Dieticians suppose a possibility of one fasting pineapple day in a week: one kg of fruit is divided on three-four meals. For a day of such diet one loses from one to one and a half kgs a day. But you should not render the whole effect to bromeline: food value of 100 grammes of pineapple just does not exceed 48 kcal.

Remember, it is impossible to eat pineapples on a hungry stomach - it is fraught at least with a gastritis, you should also refrain from pineapple, if you have an ulcer or raised acidity of gastric juice. After this fruit it is necessary to rinse a mouth with water, because the acid containing in it, corrodes tooth enamel.
