Experts from American city Seattle had been observing 77 126 men and women aged from 50 to 76 years for 25 years. During research they found out connection between lung cancer, smoking, heredity, age and food allowance.

As a result, they made following conclusions: healthy, non-smoking people, consuming 100 mg vitamin E daily during 10 years, had 7% higher risk of cancer development. Those, who consumed 400 mg vitamin E daily, had 28% higher risk.

This is not the first research establishing connection between vitamins consumption and risk of lung cancer development. Earlier it was proved that vitamin A increases quantity of cancer disease 18%.

Several years ago same group of scientists came to conclusion that some vitamins, for example, C and D, reduce risk of cancer disease.

Statistics shows that only in Britain lung cancer takes 33 000 human lives each year. Only 5% of patients live more than 5 years after cancer diagnostics, the rest die earlier.
