Chicago University sociologists are amazed at the last sex research’s results. It turns out generation X (people at the age of 20-40 years) will go down in history as “generation without sex”.
The research showed that people born since 1965 to 1985 are inclined to have less sexual partners than those who are slightly older or younger them. Besides, adulteries are met much rarer among these people.
Scientists explain absence of modern 20-40 y.o. people’s disposition towards “free love” by AIDS epidemic and divorce boom among their parents.
Those who were born before 1960s invention of contraceptives wakened a feeling of sexual adventurism. But this led to a huge quantity of unsuccessful relationships and assured “generation X” to beware of adultery.
However, these conclusions do not concern those who are in their early 20s now. For this category of people sex is still a mean of entertainment, due to Internet.
The term “generation X” firstly appeared in 1960s and concerns those who were becoming adults in the beginning of 1990s, Telegraph writes.
