What to do if you do not have neither an ability nor means to systematically attend manicure master to correct your nails? There is a fairly simple way out from this situation - apply acrylic nails by yourself. At first glance it may seem difficult and impossible, but in fact it is real. The advantage is that you get the desired result not leaving home, saving time and money, and you are not tied by master.
Acrylic (the first professional material for artificial nails) represents a mixture of powder and special liquid (liquidation), which, when mixed, turns into a hardening mass. For a couple of minutes, one can distribute acrylic throughout nail surface, and then the remaining bumps on top and thickening on sides are filed long and hard, and then polished.
Some experts think acrylic nails are the strongest, but there are negative aspects of their use. Acrylic composition may include following chemicals: methyl-acrylic and acrylic acids, as well as acrylic monomers. They can cause skin irritation. Some argue that at the moment, when nail industry has gone too far forward, there are harmless acrylic technologies: i.e. they have no smell, that is, safe for master.
Yet, you cannot do without acrylic - it is ideal for bitten nails with a small nail bed or heavily rounded edges.
Acrylic nails, as well as gel, are performed both on tips and forms.
Good masters know both acrylic and gel nail extension technology, so listen carefully to experts’ advice and recommendations - they will help you choosing the right type of building for you.
Today manicure is quite a commonplace procedure anyone can afford.
Nail extensions is one of the most important quality manicure technologies. It was invented in the 50-ies of the last century, but received especial popularity in the 90’s. Specialists explain the secret of demand for accrued nails by the fact that they are practically no different from natural appearance, do not break and are easily restored. In addition, lacquer coating lasts much longer on them, than on natural nails.
There are several variants of this procedure, but acrylic and gel nails are most popular.
Acrylic nails
Acrylic coating protects nails from excessive moisture and adverse environmental impact. Ingredients for building are made from a mixture of acrylic powder with a special liquid. This mass hardens quickly, so for a few minutes, the master must apply it evenly over nail plate surface. This procedure takes an average of about three hours.
Despite the fact that acrylic is a thin and plastic material, artificial acrylic nail is stronger than natural dozens of times. With proper care for acrylic nails, term of their “fitness” could be three or four months. However, there are significant weaknesses - a sharp unpleasant odor of composition and toxic chemicals, which cause skin irritation and make your nails weak and brittle.
If all of these drawbacks do not stop you, you should remember a few rules of acrylic nail building:
1. You have to refuse it, if you take antibiotics, or undergoing a chemotherapy: at this time the body produces acetone, which rejects acrylic material.
2. Acrylic nails need to be protected from hits and other external “shocks” (eg, gently open a car’s door).
3. Varnish must be applied to the basic coverage, or acrylic can change color under the influence of dye.
To smooth out disadvantages of gel method, using the maximum of its capabilities, we recommend using a combined technology “acrylic + gel”. Acrylic component makes nail stronger and “assiduous” and gel - protects against adverse external influences and gives nails natural shine. But in any case, do not abuse artificial acrylic nails: they violate blood circulation in natural nails and even contributes to their atrophy.
To get started by yourself, you will need materials. Acrylic, thinner (liquid), liquid to improve coupling of artificial nails with natural (primer), liquid to remove fat layer from natural nail plate (degreaser), brush for acrylic and nail file (for natural nail, artificial, polishing). That’s actually all! Part of work is already considered to be done. You can buy everything you need in specialist shops. Vendors will advise you if you have any questions. This set will serve you long enough and pay you faster than you think.
Building procedure will be the second stage. To get started, you will have to work hard, but to obtain the desired one can try. First of all, look carefully what master does. Memorize all, sequence, materials, sawing motion. It’s quite important. In order not to grasp it all at once, start with correction of first finger. Arriving home, you can repeat what master did. And so gradually move to another and third nail.
To help, here is a brief statement of acrylic nails correction: wash and disinfect hands. Then proceed to sewing nail surface. Focus more closely on the part of nail, which shows the boundary between natural and artificial nail, trying to equalize. Next lubricate the entire surface with a degreaser and then liquid for coupling. Primer should not fall on the inner lining and mucous! When you processed everything, you are ready to cover. Put acrylic on nail repeating its form. After modeling wait a couple of minutes until the material hardens and you can start sewing surface. Take a file for artificial nails and polish until the surface is smooth and without humps. When you smooth the surface, take file and polish nail to shine. That’s all! You have coped with this task. Next time, try one more nail, and so gradually you will gain skills. The main thing is that if your nail is broken, you do not have to run to a master looking for free time in her and your schedules, and simply eliminate the problem at home at any time convenient for you.
We wish you good luck!
